Whether you like cheering home a big-race banker or backing an outsider each-way at a big price, make sure you choose the Cheltenham Festival free bets that are right for you with our rundown of the best Cheltenham betting offers.

Cheltenham Free Betting Offers

The two most common types of free bet at the Cheltenham Festival are money back if your horse fails to finish and money back if your horse finishes second, third, fourth or even fifth. The terms vary from day to day and from bookmaker to bookmaker, so it is important to keep up to date with what is on offer.

The other popular Cheltenham bet offer is enhanced places for each-way bets. Again, the terms vary considerably according to the bookmaker and the race, but the best ones provide a fantastic opportunity to back your fancy each-way with a hugely increased chance of a payout.

Whether you are looking for free bets or enhanced places, shop around to take advantage of the competition between bookmakers. You can keep up to date with all the latest Cheltenham free bet offers here at GG.co.uk as they become available.

Cheltenham Day 1 Offers

The bookmakers waste no time in trying to win your trade at the Cheltenham Festival and the very first race on day one, the Sky Bet Supreme Hurdle, always throws up some great offers. This was the case again last year – but the race sponsors Sky Bet trumped them all with money back on all losers as a free bet. Keep an eye out for what they have planned for their race this year.

Paddy Power tried to catch the attention of day one punters with a free bet if your horse finished second, third or fourth in all the Tuesday races. A similar offer this year would be ideal for a race like the Sporting Life Arkle Chase, which rarely has a big field (11, 12, 5, 9 and 7 runners in the last five years). Henry VIII Novices’ Chase winner Allmankind has a tough task against Shishkin but looks booked for a place at least and would be a great bet with this offer.

As well as free bets, bookmakers offer extra places for each-way bets and last year’s seven places in the Supreme from William Hill was a corker, particularly with only 15 runners. Whether or not we get seven again remains to be seen but there will be extra places offered in the Supreme. Take advantage of this with Third Time Lucki, who is an each-way price and has a great shout of making the first four or five if he gets round safely on Champions Day.

Cheltenham Offers; Day 2

Last Year the first race again threw up a great free-bet special from Sky Bet, who offered money back if your horse was second, third, fourth or fifth in the Ballymore, while the best enhanced each-way offer came from Paddy Power, who went seven places in the day’s big betting heat, the Coral Cup.

The bookmakers will again be competing with their place terms for the Coral Cup, so if you fancy one each-way be sure to shop around. There is nothing worse than seeing your horse get pipped for fifth place and losing your each-way bet, only to find out another bookmaker was offering six places.

Cheltenham Day 3 Betting Offers

Sometimes bookies really do give something away for nothing, and this was the case last year when race sponsors Paddy Power offered all customers a free £5 bet on the Stayers’ Hurdle. It’s always worth paying extra attention to offers the bookmakers have for races they sponsor as they won’t want to be outdone by their rivals in their own race.

Sky Bet rolled out another First Race Special on day three with money back as a free bet if your horse was second, third, fourth or fifth in the Marsh Novices’ Chase – another race that tends not to have a big field (12, 10, 9, 8, 9 runners in last five years).
H3: Cheltenham Day 4

Sky Bet confirmed themselves the kings of the first-race offer with their Friday special of money back if you are second, third, fourth or fifth in the Triumph. As with all of Sky Bet’s opening-race offers throughout the week, snap this one up if it is available this year. For each-way backers, the five places for the Friday opener offered by William Hill was the best available.

And if you want to go out on a winning note, look for enhanced each-way terms in the concluding Martin Pipe Handicap Hurdle. Paddy Power and Sky Bet were the standout last year with six places on offer. This competitive finale often has big-priced horses among the first few home, so if you fancy one at a big price, an offer of five or six places really comes into its own.

Gold Cup Free Bets

The Gold Cup is a formidable test of stamina and jumping ability, so it is no surprise that horses failing to complete is a common occurrence. Last year was unusual in that only one horse fell, but in 2019 seven of the 16 either fell or were pulled up, while in the previous year six failed to get round. Coral offered money back if your horse failed to finish last year and this offer is particularly appealing in the Friday feature.

Sky Bet trumped their rivals on the each-way terms in the Gold Cup last year by offering five places, which was fantastic concession given there were only 12 runners. If you give Santini a chance of going one better against Al Boum Photo this time in the Gold Cup, five places each-way offers some pretty solid each-way insurance given his excellent Cheltenham record.
H2: Best Cheltenham Betting Offers Going

While bookmakers save their best offers for targeted promotions on certain races, there are some Cheltenham betting offers applied to all races across the Festival. Coral deserve credit for giving money back on all 28 races last year if your selection was a faller or pulled up, and hopefully we’ll see this again. William Hill also merit a mention for their money back offer on all 28 races if your horse finished second.

Another popular daily Cheltenham free bet offer throughout the Festival is bet365’s TV racing offer that gives you a free bet for any winner you back at 4-1 or bigger in a live race on ITV. You have to be quick off the mark with this one, though, as the free bet has to be used in the next ITV race.

For punters who don’t have an account with any of the big bookmakers, the Cheltenham Festival is an excellent week to claim the sign-up bonuses widely on offer. The best of them include Bet365 and Betfair, who offer a sign-up bonus of up to £100 in free bets. You can sign up with all the major bookmakers at GG.co.uk and take advantage of these welcome bonuses.
