Five-time hunter chase winner, taking the notable scalp of Billaway at the 2021 Punchestown festival; travelling as well as anything when unseating three out in this two years ago and one of the market leaders when departing early last season (without regular hood, as again is the case); getting on in years and he lacks a warm-up race this time, but hard to dismiss. |

Moving as well as anything when unseating three out in this 12 months ago and went on to win his next two when facing a doddle assignment at Hexham and edging out Billaway at Punchestown; beaten by Cousin Pascal at Haydock but he got tired in the heavy ground after nine months off and, all things considered, it was a perfectly acceptable warm-up; bit surprising to see his regular hood left at home this time but he has a good chance. |

Returned from an absence to win this easily last year (soft) and he added the Champion Hunters Chase at Punchestown (3m, yielding) in April; may have been ready for a break when runner-up at Stratford last May and he should be tough to beat today if returning anywhere near his best. |
