ThistlecrackThistlecrack appears unlikely to make his chasing debut at Chepstow on Saturday week as previously planned.

The eight-year-old swept all before him in the staying hurdle division last season and although he has yet to tackle a fence in public, he is favourite with some bookmakers for the Cheltenham Gold Cup.

After side-stepping Newmarket's Joel Stakes last week, connections of the William Haggas-trained four-year-old turned their attentions to a possible tilt at the Prix Daniel Wildenstein at Chantilly on Saturday.
