How do you play it? Check out four selections below, with across various markets to maximise your chances and of course, if you don’t like any of these selections, just remember there are another 152 players to pick from!

Outright – Scottie Scheffler

For the outright, i’ve gone for Scottie Scheffler at around 16/1. The American has already won the U.S. Masters at Augusta National, which is no mean feat and has also finished runner-up at the U.S. Open. Unsurprisingly, he now ranks as the World Number One and on his day is unplayable. In such a big event like this and with the Links able to throw all sorts of issues at players, he looks best equipped here and looks a great price. Each-way backers can also put him on their betting slip, with 1/5 odds being paid also.

Top 5 Finish – Jon Rahm

888sport also offer other markets, inlcuding a Top 5 finish market at lesser odds, but of course it opens up more players to select from. For this bet, Jon Rahm (15/4) is the goto man, with the Spaniard and former World Number One a little off the boil of late, by his very high standards. He has won the Mexico Open this year and placed T12th in the US Open a few months ago. He finished T3rd in this event, last year at Royal St.George and another run is arguably expected.

Top 10 Finish – Paul Casey

Paul Casey (19/2) has yet to win a Major in golf, but the likeable Englishman has gone close on a couple of occasions. He has finished in the Top 15 at The Open, four times, including a 3rd back in 2010 at this very course and the recent 3rd in The PLAYERS Championship suggests he could well be in the mix once again.

Top 10 Finish – Joo-Hyung Kim

The last of my four selections is Joo-Hyung Kim (12/1), with the young, South Korean in strong form over the last few months, bagging five T10’s in the last eight events, across the Asian Tour and last week at the Scottish Open, where he finished third. He recently placed 23rd in the U.S. Open and that big event experience will only add to this fantastic players armoury. If he brings his A-game, he could be a surprise this weekend.
