With some tricky handicaps to negotiate at Wolverhampton tonight, it could pay to bet small on a multiple race Lucky 15 bet. Below we’ve put together four horses for you to consider for a cheeky evening multiple….
This Michael Wigham trained filly is around the 5/1 mark this morning and has to have a big chance now she’s taking a drop in class here over the minimum distance of 5f. She comes out very well on Topspeed and RTR Ratings and is an agreeable inclusion to an each-way Lucky 15 this evening. Has to carry top weight, but is poised to pounce off a mark of 64 in this company.
Trainer Ed Walker has saddled up 8 winners from 57 runners in the past 28 days and is a man very much in form. Among those winners was Smiley Bagel, who scored nicely at Lingfield earlier this month. A former course winner, this horse has lots of experience and the step up in distance to 1m6f could bring about further improvement. A warm race, but this 5yo should be involved at the business end.
Mark Loughnane’s charge for this 1m4f Handicap hasn’t been seen on the track since December, but the 6yo son of Dalakhani is very interesting on return in this modest Class 6 affair. A drop from 1m6f down to 1m4f should help the horse finish off his race a bit stronger and if he is fit enough to show something like his best first time out, a mark of 57 is exploitable. Loughnane and Kingscote are 0/23 when teaming up, hopefully they can put that right tonight with Singular Quest.
Zapateado has a fair record on artificial surfaces and Karen George’s charge comes into the 1m handicap on the back of an eye-catching run at Chepstow last time out, where he finished a staying on 5th of 12 after two months off the track. This could be the right time for a step up in trip and if he does have the stamina for this test, he should go very well under 5lb conditional jockey Rhiain Ingram.
A Lucky 15 is a 4 selection bet consisting of 15 bets: 4 singles, 6 doubles, 4 trebles and a four-fold accumulator. A 50p E/w Lucky 15 will cost £15.
