Hot Pot - Power Price Treble
Today’s enhanced treble, features three favourites across three meetings. With the first, Shudood who looks the strongest of the trio, in the 2:10pm at Ludlow, a juvenile maiden hurdle over a mile and seven. Having finished second at class two level last time out at Yarmouth, a drop of two classes and the extra few furlongs in distance make this look to be a straightforward win for the Ian Williams trained entry.
Next up is Prefontaine who takes part in a class two nursery at Nottingham (3:30pm) over a mile and a quarter. Having seen steady improvement over longer journey’s. Including over a mile at Haydock last time out, even more is expected with the extra quarter mile added here.
Finally, Dissavril races in the 3:20 at Southwell, a mile and seven maiden hurdle, featuring just six runners. Having won at the beginning of the year at class one level, the Emma Lavelle trained ride disappointed at Aintree in the last run, back in April, finishing twentieth. Both races were National Hunt Flat races, so the only question mark is over how the horse goes over hurdles in a competitive race, however with this being a class four race, if they can jump, they should win comfortably.
PaddyPower are offering three Extra Place races today, with the following races offering the respective extra placings at one fifth odds.
4:20pm: Southwell - A class four handicap novices hurdle over two and a half miles.
5:00pm: Nottingham - A mile and a quarter long, apprentice handicap featuring fourteen runners.
