(1) (6:00pm Yarmouth) TARDIS was 11/1 now 5/2

Time Test filly out of Twizzell, with the dam winning on her juvenile debut for Anne Duffield. Tardis trainer, Michael Bell has been in good form with juveniles of late, including a first time out winner and with strong backing this afternoon, should go strongly here.

(2) (6:50pm Lingfield) MARLAY PARK was 7/1, now 10/3

Bagged a maiden win at the fifth time of asking, on his penultimate start, when beating Major Force by 1.5 lengths at Bath (5f, good to firm) in April. Struggled with the extended trip and rise in class last time at Ascot, but it’s hoped a return to the prior level, will help. Fair amount of backing makes hims a strong candidate.

(3) (8:30pm Yarmouth) DICKENS was 10/1 now 7/2

Four race maiden, who looked good, when placing at Salisbury (1m, good) back in September. Struggled on last race of last season, when ninth at Nottingham, but bounced back at Newmarket last month, when a 28/1 second, behind Alabama Boy. Was a little boisterous in the first time hood that day, but if he can settle, he could go one better.

(4) (7:30pm Yarmouth) SMEATONS LIGHT was 15/2 now 4/1

WInner on third start, when an impressive 2.75 lengths clear at Thirsk (6f, good to firm), when a 16/1 shot in April. Found things too hot in a Class 2 at Newmarket last time out but reverts back down to Class 4 level, which should give him more scope for success. Backed in on the markets and one to keep an eye on.

(5) (8:20pm Lingfield) GILT EDGE as 9/1, now 9/2

Three wins in twenty-two starts, with all three coming in succession back in the Summer of 2019. His last strong performance, was back in September of last year, when second at Bath (5f, good to firm), 4 lengths behind winner Able Kane. Comes in off a decent mark, but must show more to justify the backing here, with each-way backing the safer option.
