Only career win came some two years ago at Catterick, but John Wainwright’s charge has placed eight times overall, including the penultimate run, when second at Beverley (1m 2f, good to firm), just half a length behind Irv. She placed third of six last time out a Pontefract, but had a slow start and was denied a cllear run, when turning for home. Should show improvement here and one of a handful of contenders in a competitve contest.

This Ralph Beckett colt, made a useful debut, when fifth of ten at Sandown (7f, good to firm), albeit 7.5 lengths behind impressive winner, Nostrum. Today’s extra furlong is likely to aide a better run this aftternoon and he looks most likely to challenge Sir Laurence Graff for the spoils. Hector Crouch rides for the first time.

6:52pm – VINCE LE PRINCE

Twice a winner, but both of those were back in 2019, with thirteen runs since the last of those, garnering just two placed finishes. This David O’Meara trained gelding did pick up a couple of fourth placed finishes in large fields at York (5f, good) and Epsom (6f, good) in Class 2 contest, but recent runs have been disappointing. Needs to show improvement here, but worth some minor each-way attention.
