Race 1 (12:45pm) *SPEECH BUBBLE

Strong performances in several bumper contests, including a win on debut at Ffos Las back in November 2020 and more recently a second at Sandown (1m 7f, soft) in a Listed contest back in March, when 2.25 lengths behind Flirtatious Girl. He made his seasonal and hurdles debut at Lingfield (2m 3f, good to soft) back in November, placing second behind Russian Rumour and is expected to build upon that performance here.

Race 2 (1:15pm) COUSU MAIN

Twice placed last season, before returning to action at Lingfield in November, unfortunately falling two from home and when going strongly. Improved in latest to take the spoils at Uttoxeter (1m 7f, soft), easing to a 12 length win ahead of Nicky Henderson runner, Full Of Light. Should show further improvement here and is expected to take on another of the Seven Barrows charges in Walking On Air.

Race 3 (1:50pm) LIGHT N STRIKE

Provisional bridesmaid in five of the opening seven starts, before finally grabbing a maiden victory at Plumpton (2m, good) in November, when a very comfortable 19 lengths clear of En Coeur. He was unlucky to miss out, when second in latest at Southwell (1km 7f, good), 1.75 lengths off Across The Line and can go close once more, in this contest.

Race 4 (2:25pm) KURAKA

Last victory came fifteen races ago, for Gordon Elliott back in 2018. However, recent form under Jeremy Scott has seen a marked improvement, with a run of 3-353 in the last four runs, including a third at Fontwell (2m 1f, soft) on Boxing Day, albeit 29 lengths adrift of Hystery Bere. Off a handy mark here and refitted blinkers may just add a little something further. Decent chances, if able to continue the form

Race 5 (3:00pm) KEEP WONDERING

Lightly raced Philip Hobbs runner, who picked up a maiden victory two seasons ago at Ffos Las in January 2020. He returned from a 21 month hiatus to place fifth (of twelve) at Chepstow (2m 3f, good to soft), before stepping up and taking a first chase victory at Haydock (2m 5f, heavy) in the mud, justifying the strong backing, beating Thomas McDonagh by half a length. More to come and a rise of just 3lbs looks well within his remit.

Race 6 (3:30pm) GRAN LUNA

Becoming a bit of a force for Nicky Henderson, with four wins in six starts, including when showing some guts and determination to beat Voice Of Calm by a head at Newbury (2m, soft) three weeks ago. These two tussle again in this contest and despite a 1lb gain for Emma Lavelle’s charge, another win would not be a huge surprise, for this continually improving runner.
