The William HIll Scottish Cup Final takes place on Saturday (Kick-off 3:00pm) with the Champions Celtic, looking to seal second successive domestic treble against Motherwell, who they beat in the League Cup FInal back in November.
Brendan Rodgers can do no wrong as Celtic manager at the moment, as he chases his sixth consecutive trophy as boss, having already eclipsed Jock Stein’s record of four successive trophies back in November’s League Cup win.
Motherwell have become a staple in the Premier League for a few years now, having finished in the top half of the table on a regular basis and qualifying for Europe on occasion. They finished seventh in the league and with two cup finals can look at a strong 2017-18 campaign overall.
In terms of head to head meetings, this Cup Final will be the fifth meeting between the two this season, with Celtic winning twice and two draws in thats time. Overall Celtic are unbeaten in the last ten meetings with Motherwell, winning eight of them and scoring twenty-eight times at the same time.
Expect Celtic to dominate possession as they have done on numerous occasions in this fixture, with Motherwell looking to keep the Hoops at bay early on and keep themselves in the match. The sides drew 0-0 in the very last meeting at Fir Park in a fiery encounter and more is expected at Hampden Park on Saturday.
I expect Brendan Rodgers side to take the win and do so comfortably, with a couple of goal victory likely, with Moussa Dembele looking strong at 3/1 for First Goalscorer
Celtic To Win By Two Or More Goals @9/4
Moussa Dembele First Goalscorer @3/1
