Every day, we’re going to be bringing you our lay of the day, in the hope of taking advantage of this FANTASTIC WELCOME OFFER, with Thursday’s selection racing in the **4:35pm Perth, a Clas 4 Handicap Hurdle, over two miles and featuring twelve runners.
The Lay Of The Day
The Paul Nicholls trained Chez Hans goes in as favourite for the race and will be looking to improve, now back from a brief spell on the flat, which included a second at Newbury (1m 5f, good to soft) in a Class 5.
He goes in as favourite for his first handicap hurdle race, but has not done hugely well in three career starts over flights, with the best of those, a front-running fourth at Taunton (2m, soft) in January, albeit finishing in excess of 16 lengths adrift of the winner. Has placed well in handicaps on the flat, but may need to find a bit more on his reappearance over hurdles.
There are probably three main threats to the favourite this afternoon, with Tegerek looking to continue his form over flights, after a win at Huntingdon (1m 7f, soft) and second at Taunton (2m, heavy), back in March, with sharpness a minor concern.
Wakool is another, who makes his first start of the season and will be looking to continue the progression, that saw him take the spoils at Doncaster (2m, good to soft) back in January, while Kajaki is always a strong contender in races overal.
Behind those, Blooriedotcom and Venguer De Guye also have claims, but will need to improve to potentially challenge for more than places. Chez Hans recent flat runs, should offer the extra sharpness over his rivals, but he still needs to prove his credentials over flights and this may not go as expected for the Harry Cobden ridden favourite.
Lay CHEZ HANS and take up the excellent SMARKETS WELCOME OFFER below!
