Race 1 (1:50pm) DUNNINGTON LAD

Two wins in six starts for this David Evans runner, including in the penultimate start at Goodwood (5f, good), when a nose clear of Comedian Leader, early last month. The colt followed that up with a second in his latest at Leicester (6f, good to soft), in a selling contest, finishing a length adrift of Kiss N Cuddle. Looks to one to beat on current form, of the field.

Race 2 (2:20pm) MENALIPPE

Improved with each run so far, culminating in a fifth of eight at Goodwood (6f, soft) last time out, when 9.75 lengths adrift of winner, Bet Me. Ran green in that run and it’s hoped that first-time cheekpieces will bring improvement on thid handicap debut. Well weighted and genuine claims.

Race 3 (2:50pm) GOLDEN GAL

Has looked significantly improved since returning from a 200 day break, winning on comeback here over C&D back in April, when 1.75 lengths clear of Khurumba. After a third at Wolves, she returned to the same venue (5f, a/w) to take victory in May, beating Brazen Akoya by 1.75 lengths. She has since placed in three of the last four starts and comes into this in good form overall and is expected to feature heavily once again.

Race 4 (3:20pm) MACHITO

Two seconds in four starts for Hugo Palmer, including the penultimate start at Leicester (6fm good to firm) in May, when 3.25 lengths behind Blatant. Disappointed in latest, when fifth of eight at Haydock (7f, good) eighteen days ago, but should bounce back on handicapping debut, having been weighted well here.

Race 5 (3:50pm) BOLLIN NEIL

Seven time winner, who was below par in three runs on return to action, before grabbing victory last time out at Musselburgh (1m 6f, good), when 1.25 lengths ahead of Tomasso in a three runner contest, a month ago. Tim Easterby’s charge has won three times here, including over this distance and cannot be ignored for the outright.

Race 6 (4:20pm) THE GREY WOLF

Showed a marked improvement in blinkers, to take the spoils at Doncaster (7f, good to firm) last time out, when a head clear of Clipsham Gold, making good heaway in the final furlong, before staying and holding on to score. Headgear unsurprisingly remains and it could well do the trick once again.
