It’s difficult to see anything other than another title victory for Pep Guardiola’s side. They play the best football, have a phenomenal squad and they have one of the deadliest strikers in the world.

They may have lost Riyad Mahrez to Saudi Arabia, but they’ve signed Josko Gvardiol and Mateo Kovacic, and look to be keeping hold of a couple of key players in Kyle Walker and Bernardo Silva. After dominating the league last year, I fully expect them to do the same this year and if anything can see it being even more comfortable for them this season.

It’s difficult to find value in Man City this season – They’re odds on to win the league and Erling Haaland is also an odds-on shot to finish top scorer, so you might need to look elsewhere to find value. The best bet I’ve found is Kevin De Bruyne to have the most assists this season at 11/4. With 102 assists in the Premier League, he currently sits fourth in the all-time assist charts, and after topping the assist charts last season with 16 from 32 appearances, he looks excellent value to replicate that again this year.

RECOMMENDED BET – Kevin De Bruyne To Have The Most Assists In The 23/24 Premier League (11/4)

As already discussed, I can’t see anyone making a realistic challenge to MAN CITY winning their fourth successive league title this season. With the best manager, best playmaker, best striker, and a serious strength in depth, they will take some stopping.

ARSENAL gave them most to think about last season and they’ve strengthened their squad with the additions of Declan Rice, Kai Havertz and Jurrien Timber, so you’d expect them to be bang there again this season. They will have the Champions League to contend with too, but Mikel Arteta’s side are certainly on the up and they’re best equipped to give Man City the biggest challenge.

Erik ten Hag’s MAN UTD have also strengthened this summer in some key areas. The signing of Andre Onana in goal should make a huge difference, whilst the additions of Mason Mount and Rasmus Hojlund give them more firepower in attack. Their home form was second best to their City rivals and that will be crucial again this season. They will be expecting a top two finish this season but I think third is the best they’ll manage.

The final top four slot looks wide open, with the likes of Newcastle, Tottenham and Chelsea all in with a shout, but LIVERPOOL look to have the strongest credentials. Jurgen Klopp’s side have revitalised their midfield with Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai coming in, and that could prove crucial in their bid to better their fifth placed finish from last season. With a squad that contains Alisson, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgin Van Dijk and Mo Salah, top four will be their minimum target, but I think that could be the best they manage.

RECOMMENDED BET – Man City, Arsenal, Man Utd, Liverpool Top 4 Exact Order (33/1)

In my opinion, I can’t see either of SHEFFIELD UTD or LUTON having enough quality to stay in the league after this season. Neither side has strengthened sufficiently and unless that changes between now and transfer deadline day, I feel they’re not cut out for the Premier League.

Sheffield Utd have lost some of their key players, with Ndiaye and Berge having either left or looking set to leave. They haven’t really bought anyone in to replace those and of those they have brought in (Trusty, Slimane etc), I don’t feel they aren’t up to the required level.

The same goes for Luton, who may not have lost any key players but haven’t exactly signed any world beaters either. Tahith Chong is probably their biggest signing and he isn’t going to be able to transform Luton’s chances on his own. They’re not really equipped for the Premier League and I think that will be evident this season.

The other relegation spot could go down to the wire again, but BOURNEMOUTH haven’t strengthened as much as you’d have expected them to over the summer and I think they could be in for a poor season. The signings of Kerkez Milos and Justin Kluivert are good but they will need to adjust to the Premier League and that will take time. They also have a new manager in Andoni Iraola who isn’t used to the league and he can’t afford to waste too much time in getting up to scratch with it. He may hit the ground running, and if he does they will likely finish higher than I’m tipping here, but they could hardly have asked for a harder start to the season – they face Liverpool, Tottenham, Chelsea, Brighton and Arsenal within their first seven games. With that in mind, I’m backing Bournemouth to fill that final relegation spot.

RECOMMENDED BET – Sheffield Utd, Luton + Bournemouth Relegation Treble (11/1)

There is no value in backing Erling Haaland (8/11) to finish top scorer, so I’ve put up two to take him on with. The first and obvious option is HARRY KANE, who had one of his best ever seasons last year, scoring 30 goals in the Premier League and that was under a defensive managed in Antonio Conte. With Ange Postecoglou coming in and his emphasis on attacking football, you can be sure that Kane will be at the forefront of Tottenham’s goals yet again, provided he’s still there at the start of the season! I would recommend not backing Kane for the top goalscorer until Saturday/Sunday, or maybe even until you see the line ups for their opening game against Brentford, just in case he does sign for Bayern Munich in the meantime.

The other is OLLIE WATKINS, who looks big odds at 33/1. The Aston Villa striker had his best season in terms of goals scored, with 15 goals from 37 games. The fact he only missed one game last season bodes well, and he’s undoubtedly Villa’s main man up top, so he’s a guaranteed started for Unai Emery’s side. Villa do need to score more goals, but I think they’ll be a dark horse for the top 6 this season, and if they’re going to do that, you can be sure Ollie Watkins will be scoring plenty of goals to get them there.

  • Kevin De Bruyne Top Assists (11/4)
  • Man City, Arsenal, Man Utd, Liverpool Top 4 Exact Order (33/1)
  • Sheffield Utd, Luton, Bournemouth Relegation Treble (11/1)
  • Harry Kane Top Scorer (7/1)
  • Ollie Watkins Top Scorer (33/1)
