Newspaper Tips Two each from Sandown and Aintree feature in today's top newspaper selections, along with a former Cheltenham Festival winner at Navan. Find out who these five are below, alongside an exclusive QuinnBet sign-up offer of Up To £25 As A Free Bet + 10 free Spins

1: CHACUN POUR SOI (2:25pm Sandown) (4 votes)

It’s perhaps appropriate that the highest-rated horse in training is also the most fancied across today’s racing. An official mark of 176 makes him the horse to beat across this division. Apart from being overhauled up the Cheltenham hill in a trappy running of the Queen Mother Champion Chase, he was imperious in victory last season. He has also won all three starts going right-handed, including when trouncing Nube Negra at Punchestown at the end of last season. He would have to perform below-par to be challenged.

2: SNOW LEOPARDESS (2:40pm Aintree) (3 votes)

It’s notoriously difficult to find a winner over the Grand National fences, but the tipsters think they’ve found the answer to the Becher Chase in Snow Leopardess. The grey mare was a dominant winner on her return at Bangor for which she has only been raised 5lbs. Blaklion, fifth in that race, has won since and Charlie Longsdon’s nine-year-old was also fourth in the National Hunt Chase, so stamina is assured.

3: BURNING VICTORY (1:08 Navan) (2 votes)

The 2020 Triumph Hurdle heroine, Burning Victory has been well-held on her two starts over hurdles since then. However, it’s possible she had excuses for both, the first coming after a long layoff and the second a respectable seventh in the Galway Hurdle over a trip that was probably too short. Now upped to three miles, she could well prove a very useful staying hurdle based on her Cesarewitch second. That day she was only narrowly outgunned by Buzz, conceding the grey 2lbs. His win in Grade 2 company since has thoroughly franked this mare’s effort and she could prove beautifully treated.

4: THIRD TIME LUCKI (1:50 Sandown) (2 votes)

An emphatic winner of both his chase starts, Third Time Lucki has looked a transformed horse over fences. Both his wins at Cheltenham have seen him jump quickly and accurately, ultimately taking lengths out of his opposition which they couldn’t make up. He may have got slightly tired in the second of those, but Sandown’s flatter track and emphasis on jumping should suit him down to the ground and he may remain very difficult to peg back.

5: NATIVE RIVER (2:05 Aintree) (2 votes)

A winner of half of his 22 chase starts, Native River is a bona fide chasing legend and his career is far from finished yet. He won this race, the Grade 2 Many Clouds Chase, two years ago and was unlucky when fences were omitted in the straight 12 months ago. He still showed he can get the job done in softer conditions when storming home in the rearranged Cotswold Chase at Sandown in February and this race looks another opportunity to add to his haul.
