4.10pm – BetUK. Home Of The Acca-Fenwa Handicap (Class 5)

Elshaameq will prove popular having won last month earlier this month over this trip at Chelmsford in gutsy style. However, prior to that run he was no match for LOOM LARGE over C&D, and the pair meet again on the same terms. Iain Jardine’s 4YO was always doing enough out in front and I don’t see a reason why that form should reverse here. He’s since come out and got beaten a head over a shorter trip here a couple of weeks ago, but remains on the same mark of 63 for this. I think he looks excellent value to take the market leader on with, having already beaten him over C&D.

4.45pm – BetMGM: It’s Showtime Nursery Handicap (Class 5)

Master Franca ran out a deserved winner over this trip at Lingfield earlier this month, but there was another runner who caught my eye more. ENPASSANT was making his all-weather debut and gave the field a few lengths head start when slowly away out of the stalls, yet he still managed to finish within a length of the winner. If he can break better here, I fully expect him to reverse that form, especially on 2lb better terms with Master Franca.

5.15pm – Boost Your Acca At BetMGM EBF Restricted Maiden Stakes (Class 5)

Grant Tuer’s BELLASIO only found one too good on his debut last month, and with that run under his belt I expect him to shed his maiden tag here on Tuesday. He pulled clear of the field with a couple of others and was only headed in the final furlong, but it was a highly encouraging performance and you expect him to improve next time out. He’s a short price but it doesn’t look like he has much to beat here, and this looks a good opportunity for him to get his head in front.

5.45pm – Best Racing Odds Guaranteed At BetMGM Handicap (Class 5)

The drop in class saw CUSACK resume winning ways here earlier this month and although he steps back up in class slightly here, he looks capable of landing a quickfire double. Since his return from a short break, his four runs over C&D have seen him win twice, and a couple of excellent efforts in the other two races. David Thompson’s yard is in good form (29% strike-rate with his runners in the last two weeks) and the booking of David Allan is a positive in my eyes.

6.15pm – Bet £10 Get £40 At BetMGM Handicap (Div I) (Class 6)

This looks a poor race, and it could pay to side with the sole C&D winner in the field – ANNALEE LASS. She’s yet to win since joining Peter Niven’s yard, but her runner-up effort at Wolverhampton in July was a good effort and she was probably unsuited by the soft ground at Leicester last time out. The return to the all-weather looks a good move by connections and she looks the most solid option in here.

6.45pm – Bet £10 Get £40 At BetMGM Handicap (Div II) (Class 6)

With my initial selection Royal Prospect now a non-runner, I’m siding with COPPER MOUNTAIN, who has put in a couple of excellent efforts over C&D of late. She was only two lengths behind the winner in September, before improving to finish within a neck of the winner Strangerontheshores last time out. A repeat of that performance should be enough to see her win here, and with plenty of others struggling for form, she can gain a long overdue win.

7.15pm – Stay Golden With BetMGM Safer Gambling Novice Stakes (Class 5)

Andrew Balding doesn’t send many runners to Newcastle, but when he does it usually pays to take notice. This season he’s sent 21 runners there, with six of them winning (29% strike-rate). I think it’s interesting he’s chose this venue to give LEADMAN his first start of the season, having not been seen since in over a year. His debut runner-up effort behind Epictetus is a standout piece of form in this, and if he’s fully fit here he should take some stopping. The chief danger will come from Dolce Courage, who made a winning debut last time out at Southwell, but he has a penalty to contend with and will struggle to give 7lb to the selection.

7.45pm – BetUK. It’s Where The UK Bets Handicap (Class 5)

ATHOLLBLAIR BOY may be a 10 year old now, but he has a good record over C&D and this doesn’t look like it will take much winning. Nigel Tinkler’s gelding has won nine times at Newcastle in his career and although he’s by far the oldest in this line up, the other runners form doesn’t look anything special and he looks overpriced. He does have a 150 day to contend with, but his price reflects that and he looks a good E/W option.

8.15pm – Boost Your Acca-Fenwa With BetUK Handicap (Class 6)

BLACKCURRENT brings consistent recent form to the table, having finished in the top three in each of his last four runs, which includes a win over C&D last month – the horse he beat that day has since come out to boost the form too. He was only just touched off last time out when dropped to 5f, but the return to 6f should see him to better effect and he looks the pick of the bunch in here. His record over C&D this year reads 151 (2/3) and this looks a good chance for him to land a 10th career victory.
