(2) (4:55pm Leopardstown) GOODNIGHT KISS was 5/1, now 10/3

Went close a couple of times in recent runs, including when half a length behind Kush, at Gowran Park (1m 1f, good to yielding) back in August, before finally picking up a maiden victory at the fifth time of asking, when winning at Bellewstown (1m 4f, good to yielding), beating Scrum Half by 2.25 lengths. Jockey, Shane Foley has chosen this runner over yard mate McPherson and with just a 2lbs rise, should feature again.

(3) (5:00pm Wolverhampton) ZAFARANAH was 9/1 now 6/1

Four career wins, but the last of those was two years ago at Chelmsford (1m, a/w). Has placed five times since then, with the latest of third here at Wolverhampton (7f, a/w), seeing them 3 lengths behind winner, Nezar, back in May. Has switched to Robyn Brisland’s yard since and makes return with plenty of market interest here. Strong each-way claims overall.

(4) (4:30pm Ascot) ALDAARY was 12/1 now 13/2

Winner of opening three races, including a Class 2 Handicap here at Ascot (7f, good to soft), when 3.25 lengths clear of Big Narstie back in May. Willie Haggas’s runner had seen form dip since then, but he bounced back with a victory again here at Ascot a fortnight ago, when 2.25 lengths clear of Symbolize and 10 lengths clear of the rest. Strong claims on that form, although Sunray Major will be tough to beat. Each-way backing the way forward here.

(5) (2:20pm Stratford) DR OAKLEY was 12/1, now 8/1

Picked up a maiden win at the tenth attempt, when taking the spoils at Wincanton (2m 5f, soft) back in March 2020, some 4.5 lengths clear of Lily The Pink and a further 9 lengths clear of the rest. He fell in his last run of that season and has not been since, but returns with some optimism in the market. Place backing looks the way forward here.
