(1) (1:45pm Chepstow) WAR CALL was 7/2 now 11/4
Three race maiden, who has struggled to settle into races so far, but clearly showed his ability, when fourth of ten, on seasonal return at Worcester (2m, good to soft), when 11 lengths behind odds on winner, I Like To Move It. Strong claims here, with Chanceux the one to beat, but has found some appeal on the markets this morning.
(2) (12:10pm Catterick) WHITE WALKER was 13/2, now 7/2
Just the one win for Gary Hammer’s runner, ending a good spell of form, with a maiden win at [Market Rasen](https://gg.co.uk/racing/14-aug-2021/market-rasen-19350 (2m 7f, good) back in August, 6 lengths clear of Your Band. Has dropped off a little in recent runs, but a fourth of eleven at Huntingdon (3m 1f, good) offers hopes, especially now 2lbs lower. Plenty of attention on the boards and looks a useful each-way selection for backers this afternoon, with a little more potentially needed this time around.
(3) (3:25pm Chepstow) GUILLEMOT was 7/1 now 4/1
Only career win so far, came towards the back end of last season, when taking the spoils at Stratford (2m 6f, good) back in March, easing to a 5.5 length margin of victory, with that followed by a third at Southwell (3m, good) a fortnight later. Henry Daly’s charge looked to have needed the run at Aintree on return last month and should come on from that trip. Still relatively young (5-yo), with room for development and has some each-way appeal here, with market backing.
(4) (12:00pm Chepstow) LEVEROCK LASS was 9/1 now 9/2
Decent runner for Tim Reed, who can sometimes find consistency an issue. The last of two career wins, came eleven months ago at Wetherby (3m, heavy), with a second at Newcastle (2m 4f, good to soft) back in March, the most notable of three runs since, when 0.75 lengths behind Molly Carew. She doesn’t do so well fresh, but the strong market interest is difficult to ignore, with each-way backing worthy of attention.
(5) (7:30pm Dundalk) APPROACH THE CITY was 7/1, now 9/2
Busy runner, who comes in for an eighteenth start this year, having picked the last of two victories here over a mile back in April, when as a 12/1 shot, he beat 40/1 outside Liberty Star by a head, with the odds on favourite back in third. Recent record isn’t so great, with a run of: 400097 and despite market movement, offers place backing at best.
