Today’s top selections from the press and media feature a trio of runners at Redcar, along with selections at Leicester and Yarmouth. Check those below and a new customer sign-up offer at Virgin Bet.
1: BALLINTOY HARBOUR (3:30pm Redcar) (4 votes)
Debut fourth last Summer, before stepping up and taking the spoils in the August, when winning at Pontefract (5f, good to firm) and beating nearest rival, Prospect by 2.25 lengths. Made seasonal return at Newcastle (5f, a/w) last month, beating Diamonds Dancing by 1.25 lengths. Looks a strong candidate on handicap debut, with more to come it would seem.

2: LOCHNAVER (1:45pm Redcar) (2 votes)
Five race maiden, who placed at Chelmsford and Lingfield over the Winter (7f – 1m, both a/w). However this Frankel filly has been off the boil since and was beaten 13 lengths at Wolverhampton (1m 1f, a/w) last month on handicap debut. Lesser trip offers much more hope, but needs to show that this afternoon. Fancied by the experts despite a large price.

3: IMPERIAL FORCE (6:30pm Yarmouth) (2 votes)
Seven race maiden, who finished second (of four) in his penultimate start at Brighton (5f, good to firm), when 5.5 lengths adrift of Excel Power, but ahead of race rival World Of Windhover. Struggled at Chester (5f, good to soft) last time out, but capable of more, although he needs to justify his short prices today. Visor exchanged for blinkers today and has every chance, if running to his potential

4: DIVINE MAGIC (4:15pm Leicester) (2 votes)
A win and three places in five starts, with the victory coming last time out over C&D (good to soft), finishing 3 lengths clear of Wolflet some fifteen days ago. Rise of 6lbs and faster ground offer up a bigger test, but with form on the rise, she looks the one to beat in this contest.

5: LANGHOLM (5:05pm Redcar) (2 votes)
Two wins and four places in eighteen starts, with the last of those wins coming almost two years ago at Beverley. Form has picked up on seasonal return with a fourth and then a third at Ayr (7f, good), when 1.25 lengths behind Tommy G. Drop in trip offers further encouragement, although jockey is seeking her first wi under rules.
