(1) (3:01pm Exeter) MORODER was 3/1, now 9/4
Comes in looking for a four-timer for Seamus Mullins, as well as a hat-trick at this venue, having won last time out here at Exeter (3m, soft), twenty-five days ago, when 8.5 lengths clear of De Young Warrior. He comes in at 6lbs higher for this extended 3m 6f trip, but cannot be discounted here. Market backing further strengthens his claims here.
(2) (3:46pm Wetherby) GRAND MOGUL was 9/2, now 7/2
Finished last season on a high, when taking the spoils at [Kelso](https://gg.co.uk/racing/30-may-2021/kelso-16170 (2m 7f, good) back in May, beating First Lord De Cuet by 10 lengths. He struggled on his seasonal return, when pulled-up at Exeter, behind the aforementioned Moroder. He goes again for Nicky Henderson and with more to come, should be in the hunt for improvement here. Little bit of backing on the market and has every chance in this open contest.
(3) (2;18pm Clonmel) EN AVANT was 11/2, now 4/1
Has only beaten three others in three runs so far, with Louise Lyons’ runner needing to show improvement all round. Placed sixth of seven in a bumper, last time out at Wexford (2m, heavy) and holds out for hopes that a first start over flights, may just inspire an improvement. Money on the books, despite the form and could well warrant some each-way backing.
(4) (3:55pm Market Rasen) CAFE PUSHKIN was 9/1, now 13/2
Six race maiden for Nigel Twiston-Davies, but did place a career best second in the penultimate start at Fontwell (2m 5f, good) at the end of January, when just a shorthead ot Flying Nun. A step up in class and a poor run, saw them struggle last time out and this looks a tough task once again. There has been some minor money for this outsider, but places look the most optimistic possibility, barring a surprise improvement.
(5) (4:56pm Wetherby) R BERNARD was 12/1, now 9/1
Five race maiden for Sam Allwood, whose best performance, came in his penultimate run at Wetherby (2m 3f, heavy), when fourth of fourteen and 10.75 lengths adrift of winner, Shutthegate. He struggled last time out at Uttoxeter and despite his mark dropping further still, he will need to show a little more guile, now stepping up to 3m. Places at best here.
