(1) (2:18pm Chepstow) BELLS OF PETERBORO was 4/1, now 5/2
Winner here as recently as December, when taking the spoils over C&D in a Class 2 contest, beating Kateson by an easy 22 length margin. He then followed up with a modest display at Huntingdon last month, placing sixth of nine, but off that penultimate run, clearly deserves another chance. Backed into favouritism, with Brinkley and Ballyandy the main concerns here and very capable of taking the win.
(2) (6:45pm Wolverhampton) ARAMIS GREY was 4/1, now 5/2
Consistent sort, who has five wins and ten places in twenty-one starts overall, including a win over C&D back in September. Recent form has seen Rae Guest’s charge ticking over nicely, with a third of nine at Southwell, last month, before a third of five at Lingfield three weeks ago. Clear favourite and the one to beat.
(3) (2:33pm Fairyhouse) PEACEFUL SUNDAY was 9/2, now 7/2
Four race maiden, who has twice placed, including a second in the penultimate start at Hexham (2m 4f, good), when 5.5 lengths behind O Connell Street over the Summer. He returned from a long break, to place fourth of ten in a bumper at this venue (2m, soft) and now stripped fitter for that run, looks likely to offer a strong challenge to clear favourite, John Cannon.
(4) (2:40pm Lingfield) OH THIS IS US was 20/1, now 16/1
Experienced campaigner with eighty starts under his belt, although the last victory was some ten runs ago, when a surprise 18/1 winner of the Group 3 – Diomed Stakes at [Epsom(https://gg.co.uk/news/racings/) (1m good to soft). Form has been up and down since, whilst a return from four months off at Kempton, saw them finish last but one. Place backing at best here.
(5) (5:00pm Newcastle) MONFASS was 40/1, now 22/1
Both victories came in the opening five career starts, but its been sixteen since then, with the odd highlight thrown in. Has raced twice since returning from a twenty month absence, with little to shout about and despite the market interest, is tough to back any further than a place selection, with his mark continuously sliding.
