(1) (5:00pm Southwell) BEAT THE BREEZE was 15/4 now 15/8
Four wins in twenty-four starts, with the last of those coming at Wolverhampton (1m 5f, a/w) back in May, when 1.25 lengths ahead of Storm Chaser. Form has dipped since returning from a break last month, with a run of 644, including a fourth yesterday here over the shorter 1m 4f distance. 4lbs lower than that last win and can go well, if able to deal with the quick turnaround
(2) (6:30pm Southwell) LOVE MYSTERY was 9/2, now 5/2
Makes debut for Andrew Balding, with this Frankel colt out of Mix And Mingle costing 300,000gns as a yearling. Dam was a Group 3 winner and half sister to a listed contest winner too, so on paper, there is plenty to like here, with plenty of expectation on their shoulders. David Probert rides this well backed favourite.
(3) (12:30pm Uttoxeter) QUICK DRAW was 9/2 now 3/1
Two wins and four places in ten starts so far, for this Tom Lacey runner, adding a win here at Uttoxeter (2m 3f, good) last time out, when 2.5 lengths clear of Seaborough. He was a little off with his jumping that day, but still had enough to take the spoils, but will need to show improvement in this arguably tougher contest. Raised 3lbs, but Thomas Doggrell claims 5lbs to negate that. Strong claims and back in well.
(4) (3:00pm Uttoxeter) JUDICIAL LAW was 10/1, now **11/2***
Decent debut, when fourth of nine in a Listed bumper at Limerick (2m, heavy) back in March, before taking the spoils at Kilkenny (2m 1f, yielding) in a less testing contest, winning by 1.5 lengths. Seasonal and hurdling debut at Exeter (2m, good to soft), saw them fifth of sixteen last month and looks to have more to come over longer trips. Each-way claims look likely at best.
(5) (1:30pm Uttoxeter) BALLYBEGG was 17/2, now 13/2
Strong start to career with two wins and two places in the opening four starts, with a pair of wins at the turn of the year, including a win at Wetherby (2m 3f, soft) back in February, when beating Papa Tango Charly by a head. After a ninth at Aintree in a Grade 3 contest, he returned to action at Carlisle in October, only to be pulled-up three from home. Difficult ask here and makes place claims look the more likely option.
