(1) (5:50pm Wolverhampton) WOODER’S DREAM was 8/1 now 3/1
Equiano filly out of Psychic’s Dream, who cost 11,000gns as a yearling. Half-sister to Ataser (RPR 90). Dam was a winner over 6f and half-sister to winners: Mister Tinktastic and Election Night. George Boughey has a 22% success rate with 2-yo’s this season and this looks another contender, with plenty of market backing. Saffie Osborne claims 5lbs too.
(2) (2:50pm Doncaster) MUMTAAZ was 9/2, now 10/3
One victory in nine starts, that came at Bath (1m, good to firm) back in April. Has started to return to better form in recent starts and placed second last time out at Windsor (1m, good to firm), when 1.5 lengths adrift of Noble Patron. Comes in as clear favourite for this contest, with more money overnight, cementing tha position. Barry Geraghty rides in his contest.
(3) (5:15pm Wolverhampton) SPACE COWBOY was 13/2 now 7/2
Pulled hard on debut, when weakening to tenth (of fourteen) at Newbury (7f, good). Despite that, there was some promise there and today’s drop to 6f, may well be ideal. Liable to show a big improvement off the back of that run, while Keiran Shoemark is given the responsibility this afternoon. Backed in somewhat overnight and this Dewhurst entry could surprise.
(4) (7:50pm Wolverhampton) LIBERATED LAD was 8/1 now 5/1
Two victories in ten starts, with both seemingly coming out of the blue in terms of form. The latest of those came yesterday at Windsor (1m 3f, good to firm), when 2 lengths clear of Barenboim. Difficult to determine, whether the quick turnaround will be a problem, but backers seem confident that he can strike again, in quick succession. Each-way backing looks the safer option.
(5) (4:10pm Uttoxeter) SIZING AT MIDNIGHT was 14/1, now 9/1
Four time winner, but has struggled lately, having failed to finish in six of the last eight starts. He did finish third in the penultimate start at Newton Abbot (3m 2f, soft), before once more being pulled-up in latest at Ascot. Some outside market interest, but no more than a place bet recommendation here.
