SALEET (2:30pm Thirsk) was 10/3, now 11/4
Showed plenty of promise when an 80/1 fourth of thirteen on debut over C&D, some six days ago. Time Easterby’s runner made good headway in the final furlong, before running out of steam in the final 110 yards, but will have learnt plenty from that performance and is likely to show a big improvement here. Strong claims this afternoon.

Today’s Racecards
BATEMANS BAY (6:17pm Haydock) was 9/2, now 11/4
This Ralph Beckett colt, made a useful debut, when fifth of ten at Sandown (7f, good to firm), albeit 7.5 lengths behind impressive winner, Nostrum. Today’s extra furlong is likely to aide a better run this aftternoon and he looks most likely to challenge Sir Laurence Graff for the spoils. Hector Crouch rides for the first time.

EFFERNOCK FIZZ (6:25pm Wexford) was 6/1, now 7/2
Six wins and eight seconds across both disciplines for this experienced 7-yo, who had grabbed a pair of seconds at Killarney and Wexford in chase contests, a couple of months ago. She placed seventh at Curragh (1m 4f, yielding to soft) in the Ragusa Handicap in June, before a poor run at Dundalk. Makes yard debut for Cian Collins this afternoon, back over fences and this useful frontrunning m are can make an impression. Each way backing, if she drifts.
VINCE LE PRINCE (6:52pm Haydock) was 5/1, now 7/2
Tim Easterby’s runner made a suprise start to his career, when a 33/1 winner at Redcar (7f, good to firm), beating Out Of Shadows by 0.75 lengths, nineteen days ago, keeping on well in the closing stages. Races with a penalty this evening, but clearly respected off the back of that performance. Major claims here.

DANDY’S ANGEL (5:07pm Haydock) was 6/1, now 9/2
Only career win came some two years ago at Catterick, but John Wainwright’s charge has placed eight times overall, including the penultimate run, when second at Beverley (1m 2f, good to firm), just half a length behind Irv. She placed third of six last time out a Pontefract, but had a slow start and was denied a cllear run, when turning for home. Should show improvement here and one of a handful of contenders in a competitve contest.
