(1) 6:15pm Wolverhampton - Mansfield was 8/1 now 4/1

A useful runner who has probably under performed throughout his career, winning twice in thirty-nine runs, but placing twelve times. Finished well, when second over course and distance last time out and is well backed overnight. Don’t be surprised to see them go off as favourite.

(2) 12:45pm Lingfield - Dancing Doris was 13/2, now 9/2

Picked up a runner-up spot on debut back in April at Fakenham. Difficult to judge, as none of the performers that day have ran since. Does take on better competition, but has every chance here. Expected to be in the mix.

(3) 7:15pm Wolverhampton - Telekinetic was 13/2 now 5/1

Couple of second place spots at Yarmouth and Nottingham offer encouragement for this long-term maiden and a change from Julia Feilden’s yard to Tony Carroll offers fresh optimism. Takes on a mile and a half for the first time in a year. Can go close if continues recent performances.

(4) 1:45pm Lingfield - Seaston Spirit was 8/2, now 11/2

Has struggled to repeat the feat of victory at Fontwell in January 2018 over heavy ground. The heavy ground trend continued with second at Plumpton in the following March but the remainder of that time since has been difficult. Returned to some form, once more over heavy ground, when fourth at Plumpton last time out, a month ago. Conditions will favour, but must improve significantly.

(5) 1:55pm Dundalk - Harvey Specter was 14/1, now 10/1

In good form since August, with six top six finishes among larger fields, while picking up seconds at Gowran Park and more recently over a mile and two at this venue. Off a decent mark here and has the weight advantage over main threats. Can go close here.
