(1) (7:50pm Kempton) ONLY THE BRAVE was 10/1, now 5/2
Winner as a 2yo on turf and has ran well on the all-weather, when second at Dundalk back in the November 2019. However hadn’t raced for nine months, when fourth at Leicester (7f, heavy) back in October, finishing just 2.75 lengths adrift of the winner. Plenty of market interest has backed her into favouritism and with Hollie Doyle onboard, she has a great chance to bag the victory.
(2) (4:00pm Fairyhouse) GO BOY was 16/1, now 5/1
Makes debut this afternoon, this Doctor Dino gelding out of Zakeeta was bought for £58,000 as a 3yo and is related to 1m -1m 2f Group 1 winner, Kooyonga. Plenty of market backing overnight and with a 7lbs claimer onboard, has every chance.
(3) (3:50pm Market Rasen) KNOCKNAMONA was 11/1, now 6/1
Winner here last month (2m 4f, heavy), when 8 lengths clear of Khairagash and followed up a week later, with a second at Uttoxeter (2m 3f, heavy) over hurdles, 3.75 lengths behind the winner. Returns to fences this afternoon and capable of gong close once again. Each-way backing offers the most encouragement.
(4) (4:45pm Kempton) RUNWAY QUEEN was 20/1, now 15/2
Was a 20/1 shot at Wolverhampton on debut, twelve days ago, but struggled with the high draw, finishing seventh and 4.75 lengths adrift of the winner. More expected from this Archie Watson charge and with a fair among of money in the markets, looks worthy of each-way backing.
(5) (3:00pm Warwick) DJANGO DJANGO was 20/1, now 8/1
Beat race rival and favourite, Notachance a year ago at Newbury (2m 7f, heavy), but has struggled to replicate that since. After a couple of poor runs this season, a fifth at Newbury offers some hope of a recovery, but major improvement is still needed, although heavy conditions may well suit. Place backing looks the safer option.
