(1) (4:00pm Gowran Park) PALE IRIS was 10/1, now 9/2
Just two runs so far, but looked decent in each, finishing fifth of sixteen at Limerick (7f, heavy) on debut, just 3.5 lengths adrift of the winner.and then fourth at Curragh (7f, soft to heavy) and 3 lengths behind Joan Of Arc. Step up to a mile is expected to help and looks to have more to come. Joint favourite with Even Flow and can grab a maiden win here.
(2) (6:05pm Gowran Park) MOVING was 12/1, now 11/2
Not too much to shout about in four runs so far, with the best of those a sixth of ten at Navan (5f, yielding) in September. Has since placed thirteenth and then eighth on handicap debut back at Navan last time out in a field of seventeen. More to come and could show that here, with a weak field arguably giving them a reasonable chance.
(3) (4:50pm Chelmsford) IRISH TIMES was 10/1 now 7/1
Four wins and three places in twenty-five starts, with a victory in his penultimate start over C&D, 2 lengths clear of Little Floozie. Struggled to a ninth last week, here over the mile trip, when reportedly struggling to handle the kickback, which is a concern, but if able to continue the earlier form, then should be in the mix for places and potentially more.
(4) (4:55pm Taunton) ECTOR was 10/1 now 8/1
Seventeen race maiden, who has come close a couple of times, including when second at Hereford (3m 1f, good to soft), 3 lengths behind Mr Palmtree back in November. Has been pulled-up in two starts, but did finish in latest, when fourth of seven at Plumpton. Runs 5lbs out of the weights here and needs to show some progression. Places look more his destiny.
(5) (5:35pm Gowran Park) SNOWY OWL was 14/1, now 9/1
Showed some good form last Summer, when following a second at Galway (1m, soft), with a victory at Killarney (1m, soft), when beating Exuma by a head. Had dropped off in the Autumn, with a fourth and then sixth placed finishes at Listowel and Thurles respectively. Needs to find the earlier form to feature here, although Paddy Harnett has a useful 7lbs claim onboard. Place backing looks the safer option.
