(1) (7:20pm Wolverhampton) ECHO BEACH was 11/2 now 3/1
Two wins in eleven starts, with the last coming at Newcastle (7f, a/w) in July, when 1.25 lengths clear of Eagle Creek. Attempted to find some form on turf, but remains 0-8 after successive sixth placed finishes, but returns to the all-weather looking to add a third victory in four starts on this surface. Outside draw makes things awkward, but still looks capable of taking the victory, with market enthusiasm adding to that encouragement.
(2) (3:40pm Fontwell) NAIZAGAI was 11/1, now 6/1
Maiden and only victory came some nine races and thirteen months ago at Cartmel (2m 1f, good to soft). However, he has placed four times since, including at [Stratford](https://gg.co.uk/racing/15-mar-2021/stratford-on-avon-12300 (2m 2f, good to soft), albeit twenty plus lengths adrift of the winner, back in March. Returns for seasonal reappearance and may need to prove fitness here, but plenty of interest on the boards, makes this a viable proposition, with each-way claims justifiable, if fit.
(3) (3:20pm Redcar) MUTANAASEQ was 12/1 now 7/1
Last of three wins came in June, at Thirsk (6f, good to firm), when 0.75 lengths ahead of Dick Datchery and has followed that up with a few placed performances, including when second Doncaster in July, when half a length behind Thornaby Pearl. Looks to need a little more today, but backed in with place bets in mind and thats arguably their best chance here.
(4) (4:20pm Redcar) HAZALOU was 20/1 now 8/1
Four race maiden, whose best performance, saw them places seventh at Ayr (1m, good to firm) back in April, finishing 11.5 lengths adrift of the winner. Was well held on handicap debut at Musselburgh (1m, good) three weeks ago and today’s extra half mile, looks a last roll of the dice in terms of determining their best chances. Backed in surprisingly, considering form and places at very best here, but needs a marked improvement.
(5) (1:35pm Fontwell) STRIKE THE FLINT was 14/1, now 17/2
Won on second appearance some two years ago, at Plumpton, but had struggled to even place since, however that changed last time out, when third at Fontwell, nine days ago, over 2m 6f. Now 0-10 over hurdles and despite that recent run, it’s difficult to advise anything more than a small place selection.
