(1) (3:25pm Newbury) BAHRAIN PRIDE was 11/2, now 7/2
Has looked a real talent in two career starts so far, winning at Windsor (6rf, soft) on debut last month, in a Class 5 maiden, before stepping up impressively, when taking the spoils in the listed Old Trophy Stakes at Ripon (6f, soft), beating Internationaldream by 1.75 lengths. Better ground is likely to suit and is another who could grab a hattrick this afternoon
(2) (1:45pm Navan) LONG MARCH was 10/1, now 9/2.
Has produced average maiden form so far and has a best result of sixth at Newcastle (2m) in a bumper, back in February, albeit some 25 lengths adrift. Held a fair bit of market support on handicap debut at Wexford (2m 4f, good) , but disappointed when sixth again and 20 lengths back. Has attracted backing in the market again and goes in as joint favourite, for this first run over 2m 6f. Has a chance, if stays the distance.
(3) (4:50pm Ayr) MULTELLIE was 12/1, now 11/2
Has a 40% success rate of finishing i the places or better, winning ten races across his 63 appearances. Returned from a couple of month break, when fourth at Thirsk (1m 6f, good to soft), finishing 8 lengths adrift. That run clearly helped sharpen him up, however when taking the spoils at Haydock (1m 3f, soft) last time out, beating Francisco Bay by 2.25 lengths. Solid hopes here, but may be suited to an each-way selection.
(4) (3:15pm Newmarket) HOT SUMMER was 13/1, now 15/2
Finished no worse than second in five of nine career starts and took the spoils here, over a mile (soft) last month, beating Dashing Roger by half a length. Struggled last time out on the all-weather, when sixth at Chelmsford (1m) nine days ago, but return to turf will see an improvement. Solid backing and worth consideration for place backers
(5) (4:10pm Newton Abbot) UNO MAS was 24/1, now 10/1
Bit of money overnight for this outsider, who won six times over hurdles across 2018-19. After a drop in form, he was switched to chasing, with the three runs, producing very little, with the latest at Southwell (1m 7f, good),seeing them finish 33 lengths adrift that day. Reverts back to hurdles, with hopes of a revival, but no better than a place selection, despite the market attention.
