(1) (2:30pm Perth) PROPER TICKET was 13/2, now 5/2
After some relatively okay performance, she has really improved, with a win at Kelso (2m 6f, heavy) back in March, before returning from a six month break to secure the victory at Southwell (2m 4f, good) in a Mare’s handicap hurdle, securing a 5.5 length win. A 7lbs claim, helps to negate a double penalty, but a step up in level will offer a solid test of her credentials.
(2) (5:20pm Perth) CLONDAW STORM was 6/1, now 10/3.
Has not raced since January, but looks to have plenty to come, after last season’s performances, which included a third at Southwell (1m 7f, good to soft) in a novices handicap chase and last time out, when fourth at Catterick (1m 7f, soft), albeit 21 lengths adrift of the winner. Drier conditions will suit, with sharpness the main concern. Backed in to second favourite this afternoon.
(3) (5:05pm Listowel) STACKS MOUNTAIN was 8/1, now 7/2
A cracking, staying hurdler who has won twice in that code, with a rating of 126. Struggled on Chase debut, when unseating his rider at Roscommon, before a much improved performance, when third at Killarney (2m 6f, soft), 6.75 lengths adrift of the winner, while 26 lengths clear of race rival Balymacaw. Every chance in a competitive contest and has attracted plenty of interest.
(4) (1:00pm Redcar) ENDERMAN was 15/1, now 7/1
Couple of decent runs, without showing too much promise, however a fifth at Windsor (6f, soft), showed positive signs, especially when having a tough time finding a clear run last month. Returns having been gelded and has attracted a fair amount of market attention. Solid hopes, if recent op helps progress.
(5) (8:00pm Kempton) LEO DAVINCI was 25/1, now 10/1
The victory and three places all came in a purple patch last Summer, but he has failed to find that form since, with a fifth at Haydock (6f, soft) in July and most recently, seventh at Lingfield (7f, good) in latest, three weeks ago, offering the best results. Attempts 6f for the first time, but positive signs are there and looks worthy of place backing at this price.
