Today’s top selections from the press and media include four selections from Doncaster, including a pair in the same race, plus a runner at Musselburgh. So check out the top five most popular newspaper tips below, along with the best odds available.
1: ICE LORD (2:00pm Doncaster) (3 Votes)
The first of two runners in this handicap, Ice Lord has not won since 2018, when 5lbs higher, but has gone close on several occasions, including at Newbury last October. He returned from a break with a third at Newmarket at the beginning of the month and looks to be in good form coming into this contest.

2: WENTWORTH FALLS (2:00pm Doncaster) (3 Votes)
Like Ice Lord above, Wentworth Falls has not won for quite some time (April 2017), but has put in some stong performances since his seasonal return, with a fourth at Newmarket and a second at Ayr, just eight days ago. Looks to be heading in the right direction and it’s no surprise to see these two being unsplittable by the experts.

3: MATTHEW FLINDERS (3:30pm Doncaster) (3 Votes)
Made a strong impression on debut at Haydock over 1m 2f (good), finishing third of twelve and just two lengths off the winner. Looks to be the standout of the field and with improvement expected, justifies his favourite status.

4: MOONLIGHTING (3:45pm Musselburgh) (2 Votes)
After some excellent runs in juvenile company, this filly really stepped up to the plate when winning on handicap debut at Thirsk a fortnight ago, beating BIg City by a neck. Rises just 2lbs from that win and steps up to a mile for the first time, but still looks the one to beat in a competitive contest.
(The Scotsman, Glendale. Sunday Mail, Rockavon)
5: SEMSER (4:00pm Doncaster) (2 Votes)
Debuted eighteen days ago and split a couple of more experienced runners, when second at Kempton over a mile, looking strong in the closing stages. Extends to 1m 2f this afternoon which should help, based off of that performance and looks capable of justifying favouritism this time around.
