(1) 12:55pm Wincanton - Kissesforkatie was 9/4 now 11/8

Finished a creditable sixth of twenty in a Class 1 bumper at Aintree back in April and has progressed well over hurdles, finishing second at Newton Abbot a month later and returned in October with a third and fourth place respectively, including beating race rival Outonpatrol by some thirty lengths at Chepstow when finishing in third. Looks to have an excellent chance of grabbing a second career victory.

(2) 3:15pm Wincanton - Doc Kauto was 9/4, now 6/4

Comes in to this race after the Ludlow cancellation yesterday and looks to have strong hopes here. Two career wins have come off the back of long breaks, including his seasonal return at this venue in October, winning by a length and a half in a first race since wind surgery and on his chase debut too. Was 8lbs better off that day which could pose an issue, while distance won’t be a problem, having won over 2m 4f in January.

(3) 12:20pm Wincanton - Nifty At Fifty was 11/2 now 7/2

Talented runner, who was on the verge of a maiden win at Exeter last month, before unseating his rider two from home, when seemingly refused. Despite that calamity, they picked up a second place at Southwell a fortnight later, missing out by a length to the winner, with a distance to the rest in a 3m contest. Looks the main threat to the favourite and barring any errors has every chance to finally pick up that first victory.

(4) 7:45pm Kempton - Champion Brogie was 10/1, now 6/1

Surprised man when a 33/1 winner over course and distance in October and followed that up with a fifth place once again over C & D a week ago, in a decent performance from a wide draw and a race pace that didn’t suit. Has solid claims for a place her, especially with a bit of a weight advantage over race rivals.

(5) 12:30pm Market Rasen - Forewarning was 50/1, now 16/1

A hugely backed outsider, Forewarning who picked up a bumper win at Pontefract in August. Finished last of six on hurdle debut, some 25+ lengths off the winner and needs to improve to have any chance here, but having been as high as 50/1 in the market, it’s difficult to ignore such a well backed runner, with an each-way chance beckoning, if punters hunches are correct.
