.
(1) 2:20pm Chepstow - Shang Tang was 7/1 now 7/2
Makes hurdling debut, after three bumpers last season. Showed promise when third at Exeter in January and followed on with a third at Stratford in March. Needs to improve a little against a very strong favourite, but has attracted a fair amount of backing.
.
(2) 4:40pm Kempton - Rebel Redemption was 11/2, now 4/1
Narrow second favourite for this one, with a couple of decent performances since dropping to Class 6 level. Finished second at Thirsk when running on well, missing out by two lengths in a six furlong trip, then followed on with a fourth over the shorter five furlong trip at Redcar. Trainer John Quinn is in good form, so high hopes are held for this runner.
.
(3) 2:40pm Warwick - Lantiern was 8/1 now 11/2
Won first hurdle race in three attempts at Southwell last month, winning by three lengths but followed on with a disappointing sixth at Hexham when favourite, with a stumble pretty much putting them out of contention. First race under the handicapper today and has attracted some interest despite top weight.
.
(4) 4:25pm Dundalk - Red Avenger was 12/1, now 8/1
Six career wins, with three of those over course and distance, although not won since July 2018 at Curragh. Broke a poor run of form with a fourth at Dundalk over seven furlongs last month. Extended mile trip has seen most success, but will need to continue the improvements to challenge. Worthy of an each-way shout.
.
(5) 1:35pm Warwick - Ziggy Rose was 20/1, now 10/1
Leads the ratings for this one, but may need another run or two to really challenge for the spoils. Followed on from being pulled-up on debut to finishing second at Ludlow in a strong display, only beaten by odds on favourite Legends Gold. Has solid each-way hopes, but expect more from her in future entries.
