Today’s top selections from the press and media feature three runners at Wetherby, along with runners at Dundalk and Kempton. Check these out below and an excellent new customer offer at Grosvenor Sport. Simply join today and Bet £10 to Receive £20 in free bets

1: NIGHTBOATTOCLYRO (2:40pm Wetherby) (4 votes)

In fine form of late, picking up a second career win on seasonal debut in December at Doncaster (2m, good to soft), before following on to make it a double with victory at Chepstow (2m 3f, heavy) last month, finishing 2.5 lengths clear of First Lord De Cuet. Today’s rise of 5lbs looks relatively insignificant, having already been at a low mark and can justify favouritism this afternoon.

2: TINTO (5:15pm Kempton) (4 Votes)

Without a win since June of last year, when a surprise 40/1 winner in a Class 2 at Newmarket, but has not been able to repeat that performance since, having only placed twice in twelve subsequent starts. Has not had the greatest time in recent runs, including a fifth last time out at Lingfield, but he only finished 1.5 lengths adrift of the winner that day and with a little more fortune can go better tin this contest. Every chance, but needs to show a little more.

3: BALLYBEGG (12:30pm Wetherby) (2 votes)

Three starts and has improved every time, to eventually take spoils last time out at Hereford (2m 3f, soft) last month, when a whopping 18 lengths clear of second placed Flann, having been upped in trip from 2m. Under a penalty here, but should have too much for this field. Even money and shorter across some markets

4: UMBRIGADO (2:05pm Wetherby) (2 votes)

Kicked off career with a treble around across the Winter of 2018 – 2019, before form dropped off. However that seems to have returned since the start of this season, with a couple of second places at Haydock (2m 2f) and Uttoxeter (2m 4f), both on soft ground, before going one better and taking the victory in a four runner contest at Fontwell (2m 3f, heavy), justifying odds on status. Comes in off a decent mark for this tougher contest, while the drop back to 1m 7f poses concerns. Each-way claims may be the safer option.

5: BALLYCAINES (4:25pm Dundalk) (2 votes)

Fourteen race maiden, but has placed in the last two starts, including the latest of third over C&D, when 0.75 lengths clear of Chateau Musar last month. The former Irish Champion Hurdle contender has solid chances here, although it will be a tough ask, against favourite Drakensberg.
