1: FUNAMBULE SIVOLA (2:00pm Cheltenham) (4 votes)
Venetia Williams performer, who is in excellent for with three wins and three second in the last six starts. The most recent win came back in March at Ascot (2m, good), before ending the season with a creditable second, behind Shishkin at Aintree (1m 7f, good to soft) in the Doom Bar, finishing just 3.25 lengths adrift. A second on return to action in the Peterborough Chase (2m 3f, good), saw just First Flow too good and he comes into this open contest, in a strong position. Plenty to like here, with the only question mark, coming from this 2m 4f trip.

2: I AM MAXIMUS (12:15pm Cheltenham) (3 votes)
This talented Nicky Henderson newcomer, took the spoils in the Royal Gloucestershire Hussars bumper, here over 2m back in October on debut, beating My Drogo. A decent third on hurdling debut at Exeter (2m, good to soft) saw them just a length adrift of winner Jpr One, before taking the spoils at Newbury (2,, good to soft) beating Raymond Tusk by 6 lengths. Plenty to like here and should no doubt feature once again.

3: ART APPROVAL (2:35pm Cheltenham) (3 votes)
Three wins and two places in seven starts and comes in looking for a double, having won last time out here at Cheltenham (2m 5f, good), when 2.75 lengths clear of 50/1 shot, Paricolor. The 3m trip should be within his remit, whilst he has won on heavy at Market rasen a year ago. 8lbs rise isn’t ideal, but should have some more to come here. Major player in another open contest.

4: THE GLANCING QUEEN (1:25pm Cheltenham) (2 votes)
Star performer for Alan King and comes in off the back of a double, winning the Yorton Novices Chase at Bangor (2m 1f, good to soft) in November, before taking the spoils in the Listed – Lady Godiva Mares Novices Chase at Warwick (2m 4f, soft). The elevation in grade makes for a tough ask, but she clearly has the ability and is in fine form too. Every chance and one of three, alongside L’homme Presse and Millers Bank who are likely to take the spoils..

5: GAELIK COAST (2:50pm Musselburgh) (2 votes)
Five career wins for this Donald McCain runner, with the last of those coming in the penultimate start, over C&D (2m 4f, soft), when beating Slanelough by 2 lengths. A disappointing eighth at Newbury in latest was reportedly down to slipping on approach to the first and saw him struggle for the remainder, so that can be ignored to a large extent. Main threat to Amour De Nuit here and assuming no issues have stemmed from that run, he should be back and challenging.
