Today’s top selections from the press and media, all feature from York on day three of the Ebor Meeting. Check these out below and an excellent sign-up offer of Up To £30 In Free Bets at Betway!

1: HARTSWOOD (4:50pm York) (4 Votes)

Returned to action after a nine month break, when third here (7f, good to soft) in a Class 4, half a length off the winner and then stepped up to Class 2 level, taking the win over C&D (good), beating Tadleel by 1.25 lengths. Rises 6lbs for this contest, but still looks well within his mark. Should go well here.

2: ENBIHAAR (2:15pm York) (3 Votes)

Comes into the race having won three of the last five starts, with the most recent of those, the Lillie Langtry at Goodwood (1m 6f, good to firm) beating two others. Not a massive fan of soft ground, but the 2m trip should suit her. Tough contest, but oe she can win based on recent form.

3: MOHAWK KING (2:45pm York) (3 Votes)

Was sold for 220,000 last year and then again for 250,000 in June, before making debut at Ascot (6f, good to firm) in a renowned maiden and nipping ahead of Churchill Bay to take the win by a head. Stays at 6f and with improvement from that first run likely, looks a leading candidate.

4: ASIAAF (4:15pm York) (3 Votes)

Improved from a debut fourth on the all-weather, to score at Goodwood (1m 1f, good), just justifying the odds on status, by half a length to Coquette. Elevated to Class 2 level at Sandown and finished a strong second, to Be More. Looks to have room for further improvement and should be in the mix, come the judge.

5: ZABEEL CHAMPION (1:45pm York) (2 Votes)

Strong favourite for this race, who made all when winning a Class 4 at Newmarket in June (1m 2f, good), before following up with victory at the same venue in a Class 2 (1m 2f, soft), once again with a solid front running display. Was unlucky at Goodwood in latest, when eventually finding a run, but couldn’t rein in Junkanoo, who finished 0.75 lengths ahead. Pedigree suggests 1m 4f won’t be a problem and is easily the one to beat amongst this field.
