1: Some Reign (2:25pm Wetherby) (5 votes)
In solid form last season and ended with a third at Kelso (2m 1f, heavy) back in February. Returned to action last month, when taking the spoils at Hexham (1m 7f, good) and finishing 4.5 lengths clear of second. Was unfortunate in his last outing over C&D (good to soft), when falling at the last while leading. Rises 4lbs today, which shouldn’t be an issue and barring another mistake, should be in the hunt for the win, once more.

2: Hoi Polloi (12:40pm Hereford) (3 Votes)
Got off to a perfect start on debut at Kempton (2m, good to soft), taking the win in this bumper by 2.5 lengths, ahead of Diamond River and made all the more impressive, when doing so after a bit of trouble during the race. Makes hurdle debut today and looks a strong contender here.

3: Neeyorkstateofmindr (1:00pm Lingfield) (2 Votes)
Strong form in recent weeks at Lingfield, finishing second over both 5-6f, either side of a win, over C&D three weeks ago, when 0.75 lengths clear of Spanish Star. Has a superb record on polytrack and blinkers seem to be having the desired affect. Strong favourite and will take some effort to be beaten on current form
(Daily Mail, Robin Goodfellow. Sheffield Star, Fortunatus)
4: Young Buck (2:15pm Hereford) (2 Votes)
Debut third at Exeter (2m 7f, soft) back in March, finishing 14 lengths adrift of the front two, but returned to make seasonal debut over C&D (good), taking the spoils in a maiden hurdle, 1.25 lengths clear of Ziggy Rose. Carries a penalty from that race today, but in what looks to be a straight fight for victory with Onchan, Paul Nicholls’s runner can make it a double this afternoon.
(Racing Post, West Country. Yorkshire Evening Post, Lee Sobot)
5: Ilza’Eem (5:00pm Kempton) (2 Votes)
Debut second over C&D, finishing 3.25 lengths behind Aratus, three weeks ago and clearly has more to come. Looks the best of those with experience, but may find a challenge from newcomer, Royal Fleet a strong test here.
