1: DILIGENT HARRY (1:50pm Doncaster) (3 votes)
Three wins and three places in seven starts, including a second in the Group 3 – Hackwood Stakes at Newbury last Summer, when a neck to Happy Romance. A disappointing run in October, asks one or two question this time around, although soft ground was not ideal that day and he has the opportunity to bounce back keenly here. More expected from Clive Cox’s runner and he can take the spoils here.

2: MODERN NEWS (3:35pm Doncaster) (3 votes)
Looks to be one of the form contenders in this twenty-two runner, Lincoln Handicap, with Charlie Appleby’s runner winning three successive races, before a third at Meydan in a listed stakes contest, 3.5 lengths behind Storm Damage last month, Step up to a mile is likely to suit here and he is a big player, assuming he gets a clear run.

3: BOWERMAN (4:16pm Curragh) (2 votes)
Nine victories in thirty starts, with the latest of those coming in the penultimate start at Dundalk (1m 2f, a/w) last month, when a nose ahead of Isle Of Sark. He struggled last time out, when third at the same venue, over the mile trip and looked to need an adjustment in tactics, which should come into play this time around. Strong claims in a competitive contest.

4: WATER OF LEITH (7:30pm Wolverhampton) (2 votes)
Both career wins, came sixteen months ago, over C&D, but results have not been ideal since. A recent third, again over C&D nineteen days ago, offered some potential hopes of a return past form, but then placed last but one in latest. Useful runner, but may find this a tough task, with places arguably the likelier result.

5: GROUNDBREAKER (4:10pm Doncaster) (1 votes)
Useful debut at Kempton, when fourth of eleven in a Class 4 contest, back in November and showed improvement to place second, again at Kempton, when stepping up to a mile back in December. Hood fitted for this return from a short lay-off, while the extended 1m 2f trip should bring even more out of this progressive type, Strong claims and clear favourite.
