1: MCFABULOUS (3:00pm Newbury) (5 votes)
Promising Bumper winner, who finally started to show his promise earlier this year over hurdles, winning at Market Rasen (2m 4f, good to soft) and Kempton (2m 5f, good to soft), before returning to action last month, winning a Grade 2 contest at Chepstow (2m 3f, good) by 3 lengths. Rise in competition here makes this a tougher ask, but 3m extension looks workable ad there is room for further improvement. Every chance.

2: CATCHMEIFYOUCAN (12:55pm Doncaster) (4 Votes)
Solid performer over the last year, who picked up a couple of places, including at Catterick (2m 3f, heavy_ back in February. Returned to action with a fourth at Carlisle (2m 1f, heavy) at the beginning of the month, but looked to have needed the run, before taking a maiden victory at Market Rasen (2m 7f, good) by 5 lengths some ten days ago. 7lb penalty but based off that last run, should be up there once again.

3: OLDGRANGEWOOD (2:25pm Newbury) (4 Votes)
Picked up a double over the new year, including a Grade 3 handicap chase at Cheltenham (2m 4f, soft), when beating Saint Calvados by a nose. Has since followed with respectable runs in the Brown Advisory (2m 4f, soft) at the Festival and the Old Roan at Aintree (2m 3f, soft) last month. Drop down in class puts him amongst the favourites this afternoon.

4: HILL SIXTEEN (3:35pm Newbury) (3 Votes)
Picked up a victory and a second in January, taking the win at Sedgefield (2m 5f, soft) in a Class 4 contest. Returned to action, nine days ago at Ffos Las (2m 3f, heavy), decimating the field by 46 lengths in a handicap chase and unsurprisingly goes in as favourite. Has not raced over hurdles for 20 months and is unproven on good ground, but at 3lbs lower than his chasing mark, he looks a tough nut to crack.

5: JEAN GENIE (2:35pm Docaster) (2 Votes)
Former French runner, who has steadily improved over four starts in the UK. Finished second on chase debut at Ffos Las (2m 4f, good to soft) last month, before proving it was no fluke, with a repeat performance, when second at Stratford (2m 6f, good to soft) four weeks ago, missing out to Cuban Pete by a nose. Joint favourite with Champagne Noir, with little to choose between the pair, with a cracking battle expected.
