1: ABERAMA GOLD (6:45pm Kempton) (8 votes)
Six wins in nineteen careers starts, but has been in superb form of late, with three Class 2 wins and a second in the last four trips. Comes in with two from two on polytrack, winning at Chelmsford (6f) in November, before making it a double at Lingfield (6f) last month, when half a length behind Brian The Snail. In great form and clearly more to come on this surface.

2: ROCK EAGLE (6:15pm Kempton) (3 Votes)
Placed a creditable fifth in the Cesarewitch in October at Newmarket (2m 2f, soft), before picking up a fifth career win in nine starts, when beating Soghan on by half a length on all-weather debut over C&D, in a strong performance. Rises 2lbs and looks unexposed so far in staying contests, with plenty of respect given here, with a straight fight against Amtiyaz expected.

3: SUPER JULIUS (12:45pm Wolverhampton) (2 votes)
Without a win since July 2019, but has looked to be rediscovering past form since switching to Chelsea Banham’s yard, when missing out by a head to You’re Cool over C&D during the Christmas period and then placing third at Lingfield (5f, a/w) four days ago, when 1.75 lengths adrift of the winner. Wide draw could hamstring his opportunity here, but has the form to overcome that here.

4: QAARAAT (2:20pm Wolverhampton) (2 votes)
Four wins in sixty-six starts isn’t the greatest of strikerates, but he did win as recently as last November at Wolverhampton, when 0.75 lengths clear of Passional, who has gone on to bag a treble since. Placed third in latest at Southwell (6f, a/w) three days ago and has to be in contentions based off recent runs. Every chance to push favourite Top Boy for the win.

5: IMPEACH (4:40pm Kempton) (2 votes)
Three starts so far for this colt, who has steadily improved with each run, culminating in a third over today’s C&D a month ago, when 3.75 lengths behind Ivasecret, when wearing first-time cheek pieces. Those are retained this afternoon and he has room to improve, in this very open contest.
