1: MINELLACELEBRATION (3:30pm Uttoxeter) (3 Votes)

Won at Aintree a year ago, but failed to improve in the subsequent four runs afterward. However, a useful second at Doncaster on his last run, back in February in a veteran’s chase showed him heading in the right direction. He is two for two at Uttoxeter, both over 3m and he can make it a course hat-trick this afternoon, especially on today’s good ground.

2: COLONY QUEEN (3:45pm Ayr) (3 Votes)

Won at Newbury last year and secured the hat-trick with subsequent wins last month at Newcastle and last time out at Beverley on good ground, both over 1m 2f. Both provided narrow margins of victory, but manages to keep improving with each test and so a four time looks a very strong possibility this afternoon.

3: COLLINSBAY (5:45pm Windsor) (3 Votes)

Finished third of five on only run at Doncaster last month, although was not given room in the closing stages and so there is a solid argument that it was probably a better performance than the result suggests. Has a chance to rectify that in this maiden this afternoon and with Ryan Moore once again onboard, he should be in the fight.

4: CALL ME GINGER (1:40pm Ayr) (2 Votes)

Has found it difficult to repeat the feat of the victory in a Class 5 at Redcar last September, having stepped up to Class 3 company since. However, there was some cause for optimism after his last run here over 5f, when fifth of eight, but just 1.5 lengths off the victor. Slower ground and extended 6f trip should give them a better scope for success here. Every chance.

5: BRIGHT EYED EAGLE (6:45pm Windsor) (2 Votes)

Placed in opening races last year and managed to capitalise on that early promise, when taking the spoils at Goodwood last month, when taking on an extended 1m 3f for the first time, albeit in a three runner field. Rises just 2lbs this afternoon and looks one who should improve further more.
