Today’s top selections from the press and media are unsurprisingly dominated by Cheltenham Trails Day, with four runners at Prestbury Park, alongside a pick from Doncaster finishing off the quintet, as tipsters struggle to agree on standout choices. So check out the top five most popular newspaper tips below, along with the best odds available.
1: RAVENHILL ROAD (3:15m Doncaster) (3 Votes)
Usually a 2m performer, but stepped up impressively to 2m 5f last time out, when winning at Haydock last time out, winning by 2 lengths and finishing strong. Had won over 3m in points race in 2016, so should be able to handle this extended 2m 7f trip and has strong chances this afternoon.

2: WARTHOG (1:50pm Cheltenham) (2 Votes)
Two races this season have seen strong runs over course and distance with a win last time out in the Caspian Caviar Gold Cup in December, when beating race rival Spiritofthegames. Rises 4lbs since then, but has solid hopes in an open race.
(Scottish Sun, Jim Delahunt. Irish Post, Karl Hedley)
3: SLATE HOUSE (2:25pm Cheltenham) (2 Votes)
Winner of last two trips, following on from the win at Huntingdon in a Class 3, with victory in the Grade 1: Kauto Star Novices Chase at Kempton on Boxing Day, beating favourite Black Op. Tough ask with Bristol De Mai and Santini in the race, but could surprise.
(The Guardian. The Times, Rob Wright)
4: KING ROLAND (3:00pm Cheltenham) (2 Votes)
Won a points race, before two bumper wins up to February of last year. Returned from wind-op in November, when second at Newbury in a Class 3 and then won at Exeter on New Years Day, in a Class 4 by an impressive 19 lengths. Extends to 2m 4f today and looks destined for bigger things, with a win on the cards today.
(Morning Star, Farringdon. Racing Post, West Country)
5: EN MEME TEMPS (4:10pm Cheltenham) (2 Votes)
Won at Ascot in a Class 4 back in March, before seasonal return in October, when a 33/1 second at Carlisle over 2m 1f in a Class 3. Been absent since, but barring rustiness has genuine hopes. Refitted with cheek-pieces, last worn in Ascot victory
