Today’s top selections from the press and media feature a duo of selections at Musselburgh this afternoon, followed by a trio of runners at Southwell this evening. So check out the top five most popular newspaper tips below, along with the best odds available.
1: CHRISTOPHER WOOD (4:05pm Musselburgh) (4 Votes)
After a successful stint on the flat, he took to hurdles well, winning his first two races over flights, before finishing third in the Doombay Juvenile at Aintree. Placed fourth on seasonal return at Wincanton in a Grade 2, before a disappointing ninth in a listed event. Has had a second wind-op since and should run well, now dropping to Class 3 level today.

2: NINEOHTWOONEOH (3:00pm Musselburgh) (3 Votes)
Unexposed in five career starts and picked up best performance, when finishing third at Wincanton on Boxing Day (1m 7f), even with a little trouble during the race. Escalation in trip to 2m 3f should suit, as will the ground. Expect further improvement amongst a fairly average field.

3: LUSCIFER (5:30pm Southwell) (3 Votes)
Has been very strong, since switching to Tony Carroll’s yard, picking up successive seconds at Wolves and Southwell, before striking gold over course and distance last Friday. 7lb penalty makes life a little difficult, but based on current form, should be there or thereabouts once more.
