Newspaper tipsFive meetings take place today, across the likes of Fairyhouse, Lingfield and Chelmsford and more, with newspaper tipsters struggling to really find value in the markets. All five of today’s picks have just two selections, with a duo from Lingfield, along with a single selection from Kempton, Fakenham and Fairyhouse

Check out the runners below:

1: Cool Saint 12:35pm Fairyhouse (2 Votes)

WInner of a Maiden Hurdle at Limerick back in December and raced lightly since finishing sixth and then pulled-up in Graded races. Has been earmarked for Chasing and so debut here will be of note. Arguably wants longer trip but has an opportunity to be in the mix.

(The Irish Sun. Sheffield Star, Fortunatus)

2: Yaa Salaam 1:30pm Lingfield (2 Votes)

A strong flat runner, who had five wins in Germany and a runner-up spot in an Italian Group 3 race, on final flat appearance in September 2018. Picked up a third at Ffos Las and second at Market Rasen in opening hurdle appearances and returns after a wind operation. Goes in as the main competition to favourite and looks likely to improve further.

3: Bear Force One 2:20pm Kempton (2 Votes)

Looking for a hat-trick, having previously won over seven furlongs here and followed up with an impressive five length victory at Newbury on handicap debut last time out. Plenty of potential, however a rise of eleven pounds does make it a tougher ask this time around.

(The Sun, Templegate. The Times, Rob Wright)

4: Theo’s Charm 2:30pm Lingfield (2 Votes)

Has not won since January 2016, but has at least ten places since then, with three successive third places at Haydock, Uttoxeter and most recently at Plumpton, their first after wind surgery. Heavy ground has garnered a win and six places in eight runs, so may just have a rare chance here.

(The Leader, Arthur Shone. Yorkshire Post, The Duke)

5: Master Vintage 3:10pm Fakenham (2 Votes)

Has impressed since being fitted with a tongue-tie, winning at Market Rasen last month and again at Huntingdon a week ago, making the running in each. Has unsurprisingly picked up a penalty for this race, but still looks capable of winning, although it will be interesting to see how he deals with other front runners.
