Six meetings take place on Wednesday, with a nice mix of flat and jumping action. Nottingham and Ludlow provide the top class action among the day’s cards, with a couple of late meetings at Kempton and Newcastle to finish the day.
The main focus of the day for newspaper tipsters is one of the big races at Nottingham, with a pair of selections in the Class 2 EBF Nursery at 2:55pm. Check the days top five most popular choices below.
Plenty expected from the favourite here and has steadily improved, following a couple of decent Class 4 performances with a fifth place finish at Goodwood last time out in the Future Stayers showing off their talent. Holds a big weight advantage over his rivals, which only encourages his chances further still.

Grabbed a third course and distancewin last week at Class 3 level and despite a three pound penalty, should still be the one to beat. Has only placed once in five starts on soft ground, which is arguably the one minor concern, but with a weak field, should have too much for the rest.

Looks to be a two-horse race between this mare and Bbold who has a weight penalty, having won their last two outings. Yeavering Belle picked up a win last time out at Newton Abbot, although it wasn’t quite as easy as the 1/5 SP would suggest, so must remain focussed. Two wins, over three starts in these conditions also encourages.

The alternative choice to our number one pick above, comes in off the back of a victory at Pontefract last time out. Ground could be an issue, having never ran over these conditions, although her pedigree should dictate that stamina won’t be a problem. Maybe worth an each-way punt for more cautious backers.
(Racing Post, Postdata. Weekender, Paul Kealy)
Has shown great form in three career starts, finishing 2nd, 3rd and 3rd respectively, including a Class 2 Maiden at Goodwood in August. Comes in as one of a trio of main contenders, with the first trip over a mile, unlikely to cause her any problems.
