Newspaper TipsToday’s top selections from the press and media feature all five runners at Goodwood, with an unprecedented split between tipsters for the Class 2 - Stewards Cup at 3:35pm, with four selections coming from that race. Check these out below, along with an excellent sign-up offer of Risk Free £10 Bet At Tote.

1: NAHAARR (3:35pm Goodwood) (6 Votes)

Won first four starts, before the weights finally started to catch up. Returned for seasonal debut, when fourth in a Class 2 at Newmarket, before finishing third in the Silver Wokingham at Ascot, just 1.5 lengths off winner, Chiefofchiefs. Warmed up for this race, with a straightforward win in a Class 4 at Newbury a fortnight ago, but comes in under 7lbs penalty and despite having the ability to improve, he could find this a challenge.

2: OPEN WIDE (3:35pm Goodwood) (4 Votes)

25/1 outsider, but well fancied to run well. This Amanda Perrett trained runner has seen form dip since finishing third in the Fever Tree at Ascot, last September. Gave a decent account of himself over C&D in June, when fifth in listed company and just 4.25 lengths off Lyzbeth, before dropping off again and finishing just eighth last time out at Windsor. Needs to regain consistency of old, but does enjoy the 6f trip on fast ground. Arguably better than the starting price, but must perform.

3: SWINDLER (3:35pm Goodwood) (3 Votes)

Two victories (both Ascot) and three places in seven starts, offer plenty of encouragement, although it was an okay performance at best, when fifth in a Class 2 at Newmarket in June. Was entered into the Silver Wokingham two weeks later, but refused to enter the stalls that day. Talent is without question, but temperament is. Solid claims, if no dramas.

4: WATAN (3:35pm Goodwood) (3 Votes)

Has won over C&D, back in 2018 on debut, but has not quite hit the heights since, Ran just twice in 2019, with a sixth and third (both Newmarket) and returned to action last month at Newbury, finishing second in a Class 4, with sharpness the main focus there. Backed in this morning and his love of fast ground could prove a big asset this afternoon.

5: TOMMY G (1:50pm Goodwood) (2 Votes)

Has won five times in sixty races, with four of those at Ayr, with the latest back in May of 2019. Form has been poor over the last year and on return for seasonal debut, a ninth placed finish at Hamilton, was not idea, although fitness was a likely factor. However, a return to Ayr once more brought the best out of him, when a 2 length second to Prompting, eighteen days ago. Expected to battle it out this afternoon with Rewaayat and conditions look very favourable,
