Clive Cox filly, who won on debut last year in a Class 4 contest at Ascot, before stepping up to Group 2 level and placing an impressive sixth of twenty-one in the Queen Mary Stakes in June of last year. Has generally improved this term, with third places in Listed contests at York (5f, good) and Bath (5f, good to soft) and makes handicap bow this afternoon. May need a career best to take the spoils, but in with a chance of featuring.

2. SAMBURU (3:50pm Newmarket) (3 votes)

This Gosden trained runner won his first three races, including his penultimate start at York (7f, good), when half a length ahead of Snooze N You lose. He placed an okay sixth of fifteen in the Group 3 – Jersey Stakes at Ascot, but looked decidedly one paced throughout, staying on in the closing stages. Goes in as favourite in this lesser contest, with Montassib and Jumby expected to keep him honest.

3. AMAZING EMMA (3:22pm Navan) (2 votes)

Her last win came at this venue a year ago, but recent runs showed a return to that sort of form, placing second over C&D in two runs back in May, when less than a length adrift of the winner in each. Made a creditable fifth at Cork in the penultimate run, before unseating her rider in latest at Bellewstown. One of a leading trio, with Jazzy Dancer and Curraheen Princess, all expected to battle for the win.

Ended last season with successive victories at Nottingham (both 1m, soft / good), including a deadheat with Hot Chestnut in October. Has ran three times this term, placing in each and finishing second at York (1m 2f, good) in the latest, when just a head to Bollin Joan. Takes on the same C&D today and looks set to offer a big challenge this afternoon

Six wins in nine starts for Richard Fahey, including Group 1 victories in the Prix Morny at Deauville (6f, good to soft), the Middle Park Stakes here at Newmarket (6f, good to firm) and the Commonwealth Cup, last time out at Ascot (6f, good to firm), when 1.25 lengths clear of Flaming Rib. Clear favourite to make it four from four in Group 1 contests, over 6f.
