1: DEVASTE (2:35pm Newmarket) (3 votes)
In fine form since switching to TJ Kent’s yard, placing four times in five starts and grabbing a second career victory at Leicester (6f, good to soft), when a head clear of Gisburn. The strong run continued last time out, when third of nineteen in a Class 2 at York (6fm good), some 2.75 lengths adrift of the very useful, Harry Three. Progressive contender who has strong chances here.

2: DREAM SHOW (3:45pm Newmarket) (3 votes)
Showed plenty of improvement at the back end of last year, finishing with a maiden victory, at the fourth attempt, when taking the spoils at Redcar (7f, soft), a length clear of Golden Voice. after a near six month break, Charlie Hills’ runner looked to have needed the run at Goodwood, back in April, before stepping up once more to win at Newbury (7f, good to soft) some twenty-three days ago, deadheating with Hebrides. 5lbs higher this time around, but looks the one to beat on form.

3: ROXZOFF (4:20pm Newmarket) (3 votes)
Nothing too spectacular in the first five runs, but has since won four and grabbed three seconds in seven starts since, including the sealing of a double at Sandown (1m, good) in the penultimate start, beating Two Tempting by 1.75 lengths. He missed out by 1.25 lengths to Laasudood in a hat-trick bid at Doncaster, but can bounce back here, especially when off the same mark. Leads the way on form and could take the spoils here.

4: BOOGIE TIME (8:30pm Hamilton) (3 votes)
Four career wins, with the last of those sealing a treble at Leicester (6f, good to firm) back in August of last year, when 2.25 lengths clear of Hello Zabeel. Had been below par in three starts since returning from a break in April, but did place fourth of eleven at Sandown (5f, good) last time out, 1.75 lengths behind winner, Devil’s Angel. Narrow favourite ahead of The Thin Blue Line and can improve, if able to get to the front early doors.

5: TRIBUNA UFFIZI (5:45pm Leicester) (2 vote)
Useful runs in general, including a third at Ffos Las (1m 4f, good to firm) back in August. George Scott’s runner finally grabbed a maiden success last time out at Windsor (1m 3f, good to firm) on return from a 100 day break, beating Devorgilla by 1.75 lengths. Clearly enjoys fast ground and with a penalty could well grab a double still, although Thunder Flash and Lednikov will keep him honest here.
