The opening race is a six furlong sprint is a mile and a half Handicap featuring fourteen entries, with Chica Buena the GG choice for this first leg. A weigh penalty last time out at Musselburgh certainly hindered this talented runner, yet a commendable third place shows some real talent. A two length win previously at Hamilton last month, gives a true reflection of her capabilities and she is likely to go close once again.
Next up, we have another mile and a half race, with just seven runners involved. Good Tidings is the GG pick and is the big odds on favourite. Won by two and a half lengths at Lingfield last time out and beat race rival Final Orders (in third) by five lengths. A weight penalty shouldn’t be an issue and the extended trip is only likely to help.
Race three drops down to a mile, as eleven runners take on this Fillies Novices race. GG choice and favourite is Red Line Alexander, who debuted with an excellent third in a Class 4 at Ascot last month, despite an initially slow start, although experience will only see this improve.
The fourth race is a seven furlong, Class 6 Nursery, featuring thirteen runners. Guipure is the GG choice here, although they have struggled at higher levels, including finishing last of eight in a Class 4 at Haydock. The drop down should help see an improvement, in what looks to be a fairly open race.
The penultimate race is also the shortest, with fourteen runners taking on this five furlong charge in another very open race. Our GG expert has gone for joint OR leaderRoyal Brave, who has had some notable runs recently, including a sixth place in the tough Class 2, SIlver Trophy race at Ripon, along with a third at Musselburgh last time out.
RPR and market leader Foxy Forever leads the way, thanks to a third at Yarmouth and second at Wolves, while outsider Henley is now a stone lighter since winning at Thirsk a year ago, and may be worth an each-way shout.
The final leg is over a mile, with fourteen entries. Eligible is the final GG selection and is favourite to take the spoils, having picked up a win and five places in eight career starts, finishing third last time out at Sandown.
