Race 1 (1:10pm) BAY OF HONOUR

Sharmadal colt out of Kazimiera and, with the dam a half sister to useful winner, Charles Kingsley and sired by Dubawi. Charlie Appleby’s charge has a strong pedigree behind him and with the trainers strong record with 2-yo newcomers, it would be no surprise to see this debutant go close.

Race 2 (1:40pm) RIBHI

Looked very interesting, when powering home on debut at Salisbury to take the spoils as a 20/1 shot, taking the lead in the final furlong and easing to a 2.75 length win over Buoyant, with the rest a further 2 lengths behind. That performance makes the elevation to this 7f trip a no brainer, with a strong performance expected of Marcus Tregoning’s runner once again.

Race 3 (2:10pm) ARMOR

Two wins in four starts for this Richard Hannon trained runner, with the last of those coming at Goodwood (5f, soft) in the Group 3 – Molecomb Stakes, when beating Fearby by 3.25 lengths. He placed fourth in a Group 1 at Deauville last time out, with the step up to 6f, arguably not ideal. A return to 5f here should do the trick and form looks head and shoulders above anyone else in this field

Race 4 (2:40pm) TRUESHAN

This Hollie Doyle ride was in superb form, when taking the Group 1 – Goodwood Cup Stakes (2m, soft) in July, when 3.75 lengths clear of Away He Goes and 5 lengths clear of the rest. A lot hinges on the possible threat of rain prior, but if we have the indicated deluge overnight, he will be in his element and become much shorter on the markets. Strong claims, IF the weather turns.

Race 5 (3:15pm) SEVENNA STAR

Two wins came back in April 2018 and form has been a bit hit and miss since, however the last two starts have seen a resurgence, with a second at Tramore (2m, soft) last month, followed by a fourth at Killarney, just five days later. Emmet Mullins will clearly fancy his charges’ chances here, with Dylan McMonagle taking a 3lbs claim too. Should have another strong run in them here.

Race 6 (3:45pm) KIMIFIVE

Three wins and ten places in forty-four starts, with over two years since the last victory. Although form has been a little down on previous seasons, a recent third last time out at Epsom (6f, good to firm), when 0.75 lengths behind winner, Recon Mission. He comes into this contest, with a decent mark off the handicapper and looks capable of building on that recent performance.
