.

Race 1 (1:15pm) PERSIAN FORCE

Mehmas colt, out of Vida Amorosa, who cost 225,000 Euros as a yearling. He is half brother to Weatherby’s Super Sprint winner, Gubbass who also came from the Richard Hannon stables. Massive potential based on pedigree and goes in as on of the leading candidates.

Race 2 (1:50pm) DILIGENT HARRY

Three wins and three places in seven starts, including a second in the Group 3 – Hackwood Stakes at Newbury last Summer, when a neck to Happy Romance. A disappointing run in October, asks one or two question this time around, although soft ground was not ideal that day and he has the opportunity to bounce back keenly here. More expected from Clive Cox’s runner.

Race 3 (2:25pm) GENERAL LEE

Both career wins have come in the last three races, with victory at Goodwood (1m 1f, good to firm) last time out, back in August, when 2.5 lengths clear of Sky Power. The fitting of blinkers has coincided with that improvement and despite a 9lbs rise here, another strong run is likely.

Race 4 (3:00pm) CHINDIT

Richard Hannon’s charge is head and shoulders above the competition in this four runner contest, having won the Group 2 – Champagne Stakes here back in September 2020. Its been five runs since that victory, but a third in the Group 2 – Godolphin Challenge Stakes at Newmarket in October showed he is very likely to be the dominant force in this contest.

Race 5 (3:35pm) MODERN NEWS

Looks one of the form stars, in this twenty-two runner, Lincoln, with Charlie Appleby’s runner winning three successive races, before a third at Meydan in a listed stakes contest, 3.5 lengths behind Storm Damage last month, Step up to a mile is likely to suit here and he is a big player, assuming he gets a clear run.

Race 6 (4:10pm) ALMUHIT

Sea The Stars colt, out of Ezima, with this team Gosden runner, a brother to the excellent Taghrooda and a 1m 4f winner in Taqaareed, whilst also half-brother to another 1m 4f winner in Almoghared. Pretty strong pedigree all round and from a top yard, so expect a strong performance on debut here.
